Dr. Preet K. Sohal is an ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and comprehensive ophthalmic surgery. She completed her Glaucoma Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, one of the nation’s leading ophthalmology training centers, where she received advanced training in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, complex cataracts, and anterior segment disease. During her fellowship, she gained extensive experience with the latest laser, minimally invasive, and incisional glaucoma procedures while caring for patients with some of the most complex eye diseases.
Dr. Sohal completed her ophthalmology residency at George Washington University, where she served as Chief Resident. Prior to residency, she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at George Washington University. During medical school, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the Program Director’s Award from the George Washington University Department of Ophthalmology in recognition of her clinical excellence and leadership.
Dr. Sohal has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in ophthalmology and vision science and has presented her research at national meetings, including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). She is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care while utilizing the latest advances in glaucoma and cataract surgery to help patients preserve their vision and maintain their quality of life.
